How to Get Your Framer Site Indexed by Google Fast

Last updated July 16, 2026 · Applies to static and CMS pages on published Framer sites.

Framer sites launch fast and look great, and then run into the same wall as every new site: Google takes its time. Framer's output is genuinely SEO-friendly (published pages are pre-rendered to static HTML, so there's no JavaScript-rendering penalty), which means when a Framer site sits unindexed, the cause is almost always discovery and authority, not the platform. Both have fixes.

The Framer indexing checklist

  1. Publish to your custom domain. A site living only on yoursite.framer.app starts from zero authority on a shared subdomain. Connect your domain in Site Settings and make it the canonical home.
  2. Find your sitemap. Framer generates /sitemap.xml automatically on published sites, CMS pages included. Submit it once in Google Search Console; it maintains itself afterward.
  3. Check per-page SEO settings. Framer lets you exclude pages from search engines page by page. Worth a scan after a rebuild or a handoff, one stray toggle hides a page completely.
  4. Link your pages. Design tools make orphan pages easy: a landing variant no menu points to will be the last thing Google visits. Give important pages real links from nav, footer, or body content.
  5. Remember that publish is the trigger. Custom code, meta tags, and new pages reach Google's view of your site only after you hit Publish.

If a page is stuck with a named status in Search Console, our guides to "Crawled - currently not indexed" and "Discovered - currently not indexed" cover exactly what to do.

Cut the discovery wait to 10 minutes

New domains are where the waiting hurts most, and where direct submission helps most: there's no quality verdict to overcome yet, just a queue. Zeneth Indexer watches your Framer sitemap every 10 minutes and submits every new or changed page through the official Google Indexing API, plus Bing, Yandex, Naver, and Seznam free via IndexNow. It then verifies each page against Google Search Console data, so you see true Indexed status and get an alert when pages index, or when one has been stuck for 7 days.

Setup on Framer, in two minutes

  1. Create an account and add your domain. You'll get a one-line meta tag.
  2. In Framer: Site Settings → General → Custom Code → Start of <head>, paste the tag, then Publish.
  3. Click Verify, add https://yoursite.com/sitemap.xml. Done; every future publish takes care of itself.
Honesty box: submission gets Googlebot to your pages fast; Google still decides what enters the index. On new domains expect the first pages to index within days, not minutes, and authority to compound from there. Verified status means you'll know the truth instead of refreshing a site: search.
